Protecting Revlon’s Revenue and Reputation

 

Revlon is a world renowned American beauty brand established in 1932. Their products are sold in 150 countries and they have global locations in Paris, Singapore, Tokyo, and London to name a few. Their extensive product range includes cosmetics, skincare, and haircare, with a specialised line catering to professional stylists and salons.

The challenge
When a number of salons were unable to meet their financial obligations for hair products supplied to them, a series of unpaid invoices threatened to impact Revlon’s revenue and administrative efficiency.

A total of 20 cases were referred to us which required tailored strategies catered to their individual circumstances. Protecting the established relationships Revlon had built with the salons while maintaining their reputation was a top priority.

Our approach
Due to the number of cases referred to us, Collections+ was the best suited service for Revlon’s needs, offering tailored recovery solutions suitable for high volumes of debt and customer relationship management.

We approached each case by reviewing the terms of the agreements and all prior contact between Revlon and the clients, plus any supporting documentation. This in depth analysis allowed us to assess the best route for each case. 

In one case, the debtor offered to pay in monthly instalments until the debt was cleared. We liaised between the client and the debtor, ensuring the amount and timeframe were clear for both parties before proceeding with the arranged payment plan.

In a more complex case, we were initially unable to make contact with the debtor. With the client’s permission, we initiated Debtor Tracing, carrying out a digital footprint analysis, address verification and contact information updates to locate the debtor. We successfully re-established contact and set up a monthly instalment plan agreed by both debtor and client.

Outcome
Despite the unique challenges of each case, our structured and strategic debt recovery approach ensured Revlon received the outstanding payments while preserving their valued relationships with their clients.

By implementing a flexible and tactical approach, we enabled Revlon to focus on innovation and growth without the burden of unpaid invoices and help avoid prolonged disputes.
